Sting has left the William Morris Agency, as well as longtime UK agent Phil Banfield at CODA Agency Limited, and signed with CAA for worldwide representation. He remains at UTA for film and TV.










Scott Comeau Exits Billions


Scott Comeau, was an Agency Associate and assisted the company's agents. Billions Corporation, has advised CelebrityAccess that April 30 was his last day at the agency. "We have split amicably as I will continue on in the booking world to represent my own clients," he said. An announcement of Comeau's future plans is forthcoming. The Agency Group Launches Reggae Touring Festival


The Agency Group is launching its first of what will be an annual Reggae touring
festival on May 24. Organized, booked and produced by agent Peter
Schwartz (in association with Copeland Forbes of Comar Productions), the 22-date
One Love Festival will play clubs, large venues and amphitheaters including the
Greek, Hammerstein Ballroom, the Fillmore and House of Blues. The tour winds
down June 16 in Atlanta

Drawing from all genres of Reggae, including Roots, Dancehall, conscious reggae
and urban pop, appearing on this year’s tour are Toots & The Maytals, Luciano,
Israel Vibration (West Coast only), Tony Rebel (Midwest, East Coast only),
Tantao Metro & Devonte and Dean Fraser. Acting as house “soundsystem” (DJ)
will be the legendary Stone Love.

The Agency Group plans to develop the festival into a larger multi-genre tour in the
future and plans to tour it internationally in 2003, adding Canada and Europe to its
routing.

Kmart Teams With CAA


Kmart Corporation has retained Creative Artists Agency to provide entertainment-related marketing strategies and brand-building programs in film, television, music and video games as they relate to Kmart's existing marketing efforts and exclusive core brands.

"Entertainment provides a powerful means to connect with our customers," said Steven Feuling, SVP of marketing for Kmart, one of the leading sellers of music CDs, home videos, DVDs and video games in the U.S. "CAA's extremely early exposure and insight into entertainment properties, and its relationships with the talent and organizations behind these projects, will afford Kmart critical marketing opportunities that will help build a stronger brand and increase consumer reach and loyalty during our current
restructuring process."

Other companies who have enlisted CAA for entertainment-related marketing strategies and programs are Coca-Cola, Motorola and Boeing, among others.




Tamulevich Leaves Fleming


In what has been a long rumored move, David Tamulevich has left Fleming, Tamulevich & Associates. The company has reverted back to its original name, Fleming & Associates.
