Members Of RATM, Public Enemy & Cypress Hill To Form Supergroup

LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) — Billboard is reporting that several members of the group Rage Against the Machine — guitarist Tom Morello, bassist Tim Commerford and drummer Brad Wilk — are teaming up with Public Enemy’s Chuck D and Cypress Hill’s B-Real to form a new project called Prophets of Rage.

The band will perform their first public gig at the Palladium on June 3, with a subsequent show planned for the Whisky a Go Go and a possible tour for later this summer, Billboard reported.

Earlier this week, rumors started to spread about a possible Rage reunion after the band's official Twitter page posted a link to a mysterious webpage, prophetsofrage.com, which featured a countdown timer indicating that an announcement was forthcoming on May 31st. The counter was paired with a series of advertisements posted around Los Angeles teasing 'Prophets of Rage,' leading many to wonder if a reunion of the seminal band was in the offing.

The last time Rage's full lineup performed together was 2011 when they gathered to perform at the L.A. Rising Fest. – Staff Writers
