Meat Loaf Says Current Tour His Last

BERLIN (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — The opera-rock artist Meat Loaf has announced that his Last at Bat world tour will be the performer’s final outing, saying that he just doesn't have the energy to continue touring.

"This is really it … I just don't want to travel anymore," the performer told Reuters during a pre-tour interview. "I outweigh (Mick) Jagger by about 100 pounds and that counts for something. He hasn't seen the wear and tear."

Meat Loaf, also known as Marvin Lee Aday, has had a number of health issues in recent years that have affected his touring. In 2007, the performer was forced to cancel a planned European tour due to a cyst on his vocal cords and he collapsed on stage in 2011, an incident he blamed on asthma and previous concussions.

Don't count Meat Loaf out entirely though, he suggested that he would be open to one-off performances and stated that he is working on his 13th studio album "Brave and Crazy."

Meat Loaf is best known for iconic 1977 album "Bat out of Hell," which has sold more than 45 million copies, as well as appearances as Eddie in the cult hit film "Rocky Horror Picture Show" and his portrayal of Robert "Bob" Paulson in the film "Fight Club." – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
