Marty Brooks Appointed GM For Northland AEG


HARTFORD, CT (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Marty Brooks has been named General Manager for Northland AEG LLC's future operations in Hartford, Connecticut, which includes management of the Hartford Civic Center and Rentschler Field, as well as business operations of the AHL's Hartford Wolf Pack.

Brooks, who will continue to be based in Hartford, brings nearly three decades of entertainment industry experience to his role with Northland AEG and will continue to be responsible for managing all facets of the daily operations of the Hartford Civic Center, Hartford Wolf Pack and Rentschler Field, including: facility booking, event operations, marketing, sponsorship, luxury seating and ticket sales, box office, and finance departments. Most recently, Brooks was senior vice president and general manager for Madison Square Garden-CT, overseeing all three of the above-mentioned entities. Under his management, strong relationships were developed with various groups that resulted in new business, including the University of Connecticut Department of Athletics, Live Nation Connecticut, Feld Entertainment and the Big East Conference. A graduate of the University of Maryland, Brooks began his career holding positions at MetroSports and USA Network before joining Madison Square Garden as the director of programming for MSG Network in 1985. Brooks went on to have a successful, 22-year career with MSG, moving on to become the senior vice president of programming and production for MSG Network before serving as president of Miss Universe from 1994 until his move to Hartford in 1997.
