LN Faces Continued Opposition From Nob Hill Groups Over Masonic Auditorium

SAN FRANCISCO (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Activist groups of Nob Hill residents have filed a lawsuit against Live Nation, seeking to overturn San Francisco's zoning administrator approval of proposed renovations at the Nob Hill Masonic Center.

The same groups also plan to present objections to the city's Board of Supervisors, claiming that a sufficient environmental impact report has not been conducted.

Live Nation had previously reached a deal with city planning officials and the Masonic organization that owns the building to upgrade the venue's sound system, stage and other facilities. In order to reach this agreement, Live Nation had agreed to a list of 41 conditions that stipulated requirements for everything from load-in/out and crowd control to bus parking.

"The thing we've tried to stress in these meetings is, we're more than happy to sit down and talk with neighbors if there's something else you think we need to be doing," Evette Davis, a consultant retained on behalf of Live Nation told the blog SF Weekly, "We're happy to make additional concessions to operate as a good neighbor." – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
