Live Nation Resolves IATSE Flap

EUGENE, OR (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Live Nation has struck a bargain with a local stagehands union after they stirred up a hornets nest by bringing in non-union out-of-state workers for a Bob Dylan concert staged at McArthur Court.

Members of the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees Local (IATSE) 675 picketed the arena for more than 40 hours while stagehands from Washington-based entertainment labor company Rhino did the load-in for the Oct. 8th show, The Register-Guard reported. Union officials told the Register-Guard that the local union rate for stagehands is $17 but the Rhino employees had been hired at "a very low two-digit number with no overtime."

Live Nation eventually came around and struck a bargain with Local 675 that saw both IATSE members and the Rhino team do the loadout at union scale.
