Live Nation Passes On Maiden Sound Quality Refunds

STOCKHOLM, Sweden (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Iron Maiden fans who were upset about the alleged poor sound quality at an Iron Maiden show in Sweden have been thwarted in their quest for a refund.

Live Nation, the promoter for the concert which took place at Stockholm's Friends Arena declined to offer refunds for the show, claiming that their internal investigation determined that sound at the show was acceptable.

"Sound experience during a concert is subjective judgement where the artist's artistic freedom may play a decisive role," a spokesperson for Live Nation wrote in a statement.

According to Swedish news outlet The Local, disgruntled Maiden fans took to Facebook, to vent their frustrations and seek financial redress following the show. Culture critic Mattias Kling of Aftonbladet, in his review of the show, wrote "The sound at Friends Arena was deplorable. Really awful in a way that just seemed to get worse the longer the concert went on."

Maiden fans have also lodged complaint with the National Board for Consumer Dispute, which is still investigating the matter. – Staff Writers
