Live Nation Outlines New Safety Protocols

LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) — Following the terror attack at Monday night's Ariana Grande concert at the Manchester Arena in Manchester, UK, Live Nation has announced that enhanced security safeguards have been implemented at all of their venues and events.

The details of the enhanced protocols were disclosed in an email sent to event attendees and venues. The new procedures, taking a page from the NFL's stringent entry guidelines include provisions limiting bag sizes.

As well, they added stipulations that 'camelbak' type backpacks must have empty reservoirs and conform to allowable bag sizes.

“Due to enhanced security procedures, no bags or backpacks will be permitted into the venue except for small personal bags or purses (12″x12″x6″ max) or clear 1 gallon bags.”

“All bags will be subject to a search. We encourage you to not bring in any bag whatsoever and make use of the express ‘no bag’ lanes.”

The promoter-giant also counseled concert-goers to anticipate possible delays for venue entry and to plan according.

There has already been some pushback, with organizers for festivals such as Bonnaroo making note that they would be devising their own "very cautious" security procedures and reassuring fans that they will still be able to bring camelbaks to the event.
