Live Nation Finds New Naming Rights Partner For Florida Shed

TAMPA, FL (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Live Nation has landed a new naming rights partner for the Live Nation Amphitheatre that will see it renamed to the MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre at the Florida State Fairgrounds.

MidFlorida is the fifth largest credit union in the state of Florida, with more than 35 branches in central Florida, including five in Tampa. The naming rights agreement is for three years, but the promoter declined to reveal how much the agreement was for.

The 20,000 capacity shed first opened in 2004 and has gone through several names recently; formerly the 1-800-Ask-Gary Amphitheatre since 2010 and then the Live Naton Amphitheatre since early February, 2013.

“The process took a few months to make sure the partnership was right,” David Harb, general manager of the facility told the Tampa Tribune. “It's important for us to look to the local community for a partner. We want to work with organizations that are based out of our area, and MidFlorida is. Our mission when we built this amphitheater was to build a building for the community, and that's what we've done. Now things have come full circle where our name supports this community as well.”
