Live Nation Extends Exclusive Multi-Year Booking Agreement With Roseland Ballroom

NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Live Nation has extended its exclusive booking agreement at the Roseland Ballroom in New York through 2010.

"Roseland Ballroom is a core link in our New York structure," said Kevin Morrow, President of Live Nation New York. "Its 3,500 person capacity in midtown Manhattan fits perfectly between our smaller clubs such as Blender Theater At Gramercy or The Fillmore New York At Irving Plaza and large amphitheaters such as Nikon At Jones Beach Theater or PNC Bank Arts Center. Roseland Ballroom gives us the opportunity to build artist careers and help grow them within the Live Nation organization in this key market. We are also able to bring musical legends to New York City in a unique and intimate setting. A play at Roseland Ballroom is a poignant moment in an artist’s career and we are glad to have this venue serve as an integral piece of the puzzle that completes our overall structure in New York City."

The booking agreement continues the relationship that began with the legendary venue and Ron Delsener Presents over 16 years ago. During that time, the Roseland Ballroom has hosted some of the biggest names in music including The Rolling Stones, David Bowie, Madonna, Bob Dylan, Nirvana, James Brown, AC/DC, Foo Fighters, Linkin Park, and Justin Timberlake. On average, the Roseland Ballroom stage welcomes an average of 40 concerts and events from major artists each year produced and LN is looking to expand upon that this year.

Larry Ginsberg, owner of Roseland Ballroom commented, "We are proud to be the longest running rock couple bringing the largest musical acts to Broadway. Roseland and Live Nation will continue our musical engagement, 16 years and counting, with a new multi-year contract." –by CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
