Live Nation Canada Named Preferred Promoter For Rogers Center

EDMONTON, Alberta (CelebrityAccess) — Oilers Entertainment Group has tapped Live Nation Canada to serve as the preferred promoter for the soon-to-be-opened Rogers Place and Winter Garden, as well as other live entertainment opportunities in the region.

The multi-year partnership will see Live Nation Canada providing programming and events at Rogers Place, as well as consulting on the venue before it opens.

As a part of the agreement, Ticketmaster will become the ticketing services provider Rogers Place. The 20,000-capacity venue will serve as as a home for the NHL team Edmonton Oilers and the WHL team Oil Kings and is due to be opened in time for the 2016-2017 season.
