Liquid Audio, Roadrunner Records Create New Digital Music Club

Liquid Audio, a leading provider of software, infrastructure and services for the secure
digital delivery of media over the Internet, and Roadrunner Records, home to platinum
artists Nickelback and Slipknot have signed an agreement to create a new digital
music club for consumers at RoadrunnerRecords.com. Roadrunner Records will
furnish the content for the service and Liquid Audio will be the digital music service
provider supplying the backend infrastructure and delivery software.

The Vault, expected to launch this summer, will give hard rock fans access to a
specified number of tracks for a monthly fee, as well as the ability to buy individual
tracks. Consumers will be able to download music, burn tracks to CD and transfer
content to portable devices enabled by Liquid Audio software. Roadrunner Records
plans to make a variety of music available, including current and deleted titles, as well
as assorted rarities and previously unreleased content. Many of today's leading hard
rock acts appear on the Roadrunner Records label, including Jerry Cantrell, Coal
Chamber, Nickelback, Slipknot, Soulfly, Ill Nino, Spineshank and Type O
Negative.

"RoadrunnerRecords.com aggregates an unprecedented number of music fans in a
genre-based community," says Douglas Keogh, Executive Vice President of
Roadrunner. "Liquid Audio has recognized this opportunity, and provides a digital
music solution that is consumer friendly, yet has the minimal security that we find
appropriate at this time."

"Roadrunner has been home to some of the biggest and most cutting edge names in
heavy metal music for two decades. By launching its own digital music club,
Roadrunner will provide unique access to its vast catalog and history and also give
rabid fans a chance to raid 'The Vault' for unreleased gems," said Michael Abbattista,
Senior Director of Content Development and Label Relations at Liquid Audio, Inc.
