Leeds Festival Sells Out In Record Time

The Leeds Festival has sold out in record time. Mean Fiddler said that the weekend tickets for both the Leeds and Reading legs of the Carling Weekend (August 27-29) are sold out although some single day tickets are still available.

"This is brilliant,” Mean Fiddler MD Melvin Benn explained. “Last year was the best we had ever had and managed to sell out on the weekend of the festival. To sell out of weekend tickets with more than a month to go really demonstrates that Leeds and its new home has arrived and that the bill is as awesome as I thought it was."

The Carling Weekend will feature headline performances from the White Stripes, The Darkness and Green Day over the three days of concerts. Super Furry Animals and Graham Coxon are among the headliners on the second stage. –Bob Grossweiner and Jane Cohen
