(CelebrityAccess MediaWire) – Effective April 12, former House of Blues senior vice president Larry Vallon makes the move to rival AEG Live where he will become senior vice president for national booking.
The move reunites Vallon with former HoB president Jay Marciano, who joined the company last year as chief strategist for AEG Live’s regional offices, and to whom Vallon will report to. Vallon is a 23-year veteran of HoB, taking into account his years at MCA Concerts and then Universal Concerts, which was purchased by HoB in 1999.
AEG Live has been positioning itself as a major player with the hiring of high profile industry executives over the past couple of years, including Marciano from HoB, Louis Messina from Clear Channel Entertainment, Debra Rathwell from Metropolitan and Susan Rosenbluth from Nederlander. — Jane Cohen and Bob Grossweiner
