Larry Thompson Appointed VP Of Sponsorship For Palace Sports & Entertainment


LIVONIA, Mich. (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Larry Thompson was named Vice President of Sponsorship Development for Palace Sports & Entertainment (PS&E), it was announced by Dan Hauser, Executive Vice President of Corporate Marketing.

Thompson, who joined the organization in 2004 as Director of Corporate Marketing, is responsible for developing advertising and marketing sponsorships for the Pistons, Shock, The Palace, DTE Energy Music Theatre and Meadow Brook Music Festival. His expanded responsibilities include the sales management of the Pistons Radio Network.

Prior to joining PS&E, Thompson was Account Director for CBS Sports in Southfield, Michigan where he sold Detroit Lions, Tigers and Red Wings sponsorships. Previously, he was President of SMS Consulting in Livonia, Michigan where he developed marketing plans for local businesses. Before returning to Michigan he was Vice President of Marketing at Jackson Hewitt in Virginia.

Thompson graduated from Central Michigan University with a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Journalism in 1986.

The Woodhaven, Michigan native now resides in Livonia, Michigan with his wife Monica and his three sons Jake, Alex and Jeremy.

PS&E ownership includes The Palace and DTE Energy Music Theatre, as well as the management of Meadow Brook Music Festival on the campus of Oakland University. Combined, PS&E’s Michigan venues average 300 events and 3.5 million guests annually. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
