SYRACUSE, N.Y. (CelebrityAccess) — The operators of the Lakeview Amphitheater are seeking a naming rights sponsorship deal for the Onondaga County venue.
According to the Syracuse Post-Standard, promoter Live Nation and venue management company SMG are teaming up to secure a naming rights sponsor for the venue, with a price tag for the deal estimated to be worth at least $100,000.
In addition to the hoped-for naming rights deal, amphitheater management is looking for smaller agreements for individual aspects of the venue, including the parking lot, stage and event center. They have secured agreements already for the box office (Visions Federal Credit Union) and the lawn (Express Mart).
If a partner for the naming rights are successfully found, Live Nation would claim half of the proceeds, with the remainder going to the county, which owns the property.
The 6,800-capacity amphitheater, which opened in 2015, sold more than 200,000 tickets last year, the Post-Standard said.
