Lady Gaga Gets 5 Nods For MTV Music Awards Japan

TOKYO (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Lady Gaga (is there anything she can't do?) has picked up five noms for the forthcoming MTV Video Music Awards Japan, including nods for Best Female Artist, Video of the Year, and Best Dance Video.

Other international artists who received nominations include Jay-Z, Alicia Keys,and The Black Eyed Peas who picked up 3 nods. Taylor Swift, Rihanna, Muse, Rihanna, Green Day, Sean Paul and Eminem all picked up nominations as well.

As of yet, no international artists have been announced as performing at this year's award show but Japanese country act BigBang along with Superfly have been tapped to appear. More announcements about performing artists are forthcoming, MTV Japan assures.

The award show, which has been given the new moniker of MTV World Stage VMAJ 2010, will be held on May 29 at Yoyogi National Stadium in Tokyo. Award winners will be selected through voting by the public. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
