NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Both Korn and the Steve Miller Band have signed on with Roadrunner Records and both bands are prepping new studio albums for release in the near future.
Heavy metal icons Korn will be spending the summer headlining the third annual Rock Star Energy Drink Mayhem Festival. They will also embark on a South American run, as well as headline the Jagermeister Music Tour in America beforehand. The band's new album, Korn III is shaping up for a tentative June release, Billboard reported.
The Steve Miller Band is also prepping their new album, their first studio effort in 17 years which will be released on Roadrunner's new Loud & Proud imprint. The album, titled Bingo!, will attempt to hearken back to the band's early roots amidst the Chicago music scene. A followup album, recorded at the same time, is also in the offing.
The album was co-produced by Andy Johns (Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, The Rolling Stones, Van Halen), with artwork designed by the legendary Storm Thorgerson. These recordings feature longtime Steve Miller Band member Norton Buffalo, who sadly passed away in 2009. As of yet, no firm date has been set for release, but expect it to hit the shelves soon. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
