Knitting Factory Partners With Connect Group In Wide Ranging Deal

NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess) — Knitting Factory Entertainment announced that they have entered into a partnership with Lonny Sweet’s New York-based culinary lifestyle marketing agency, The Connect Group.

Founded in 2008 by Lonny Sweet as a sports and lifestyle agency, The Connect Group expanded into the culinary industry in 2010 with the signings of Iron Chef Marc Forgione and subsequently James Beard Award-winning chefs Michelle Bernstein and Johnny Iuzzini, among others.

Knitting Factory say they expect that the agreement will let the two companies collaborate with shared resources on a broad range of initiatives, including wholly owned event properties, cross branding efforts, talent partnerships and branded marketing events.

“Partnering with The Connect Group is a perfect move for Knitting Factory Entertainment as we continue to develop our lifestyle, hospitality and culinary efforts,” said Knitting Factory CEO Morgan Margolis. “We’re looking forward to an exciting 2016.”

“Knitting Factory is an exceptional company with an amazing leadership team and reputation for quality and innovation,” said Lonny Sweet, CEO of The Connect Group. “There are numerous synergies in our respective businesses— talent management, music, labels, venues and restaurants—and we share an understanding how to bring brands to life and elevate a consumers experience at the same time. It’s going to be fun exploring how we can bring our two worlds together in innovative ways that leverage our collective strengths.” – Staff Writers
