Keeping Busy At The Staples Center

LOS ANGELES, Calif. (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) – Having just hosted three sold out Justin Timberlake concerts on September 16th, 17th, and 19th, four sold out Mana' concerts on September 20th, 21st, 22nd, 23rd, and two Los Angeles Kings pre-season hockey games on September 15th and September 18th, Staples Center set new records in a number of categories it was announced by Staples Center General Manager Lee Zeidman.

The first record was set by selling out seven concerts in eight days, which had never been done before in the eight-year history of the venue. Mana' also set a record as the first Latin artist or group to sell out and play four consecutive nights at Staples Center, the only other artist to attain that feat was Neil Diamond in September 2005.

Justin Timberlake's three shows had a combined total attendance of 50,671, and Mana' had a total combined attendance of 60,000 fans over the four night run at Staples Center. The venue also set a record on food and beverage sales over the nine day run, bringing in over $1.8 million from the seven concerts and two hockey games.

"Staples Center hosts over 250 ticketed events a year, and we are fortunate to have a hard-working, dedicated staff that allows us the ability to have seven huge concerts and two hockey games in a span of nine days, Lee Zeidman, General Manager, Staples Center. Without the staff and operations team we have assembled, along with the level of artists that the promoter AEG Live brought to us in Justin Timberlake and Mana' this record breaking week would not have been possible." – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
