Judge Tosses Signature Suit Over Florida Shed

ST. AUGUSTINE (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — A St. Johns County judge has tossed a lawsuit brought against the county by Signature Entertainment over the management of St. Augustine Amphitheatre, claiming that there had been no contract to breach.

According to the St. Augustine Record, Circuit Judge J. Michael Traynor dismissed Signature' after making the determination that Signature had been solicited by the county to submit a proposal to manage the venue rather than hired for that purpose.

St. Johns County had originally considered hiring Signature to operate the venue but determined in March of 2007 that the Parks and Recreation Department could manage the shed more economically.

Then in April of 2007, Signature delivered a bill to the county, stating that they were owed $575,000 in "expenses and lost profits."

Judge Traynor dismissed Signature's claim with prejudice, on October 6th, meaning that the company would not be able to refile the suit.

"We are evaluating our legal options." Signature's CEO Bruce Lucker told the St. Augustine Record. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
