John Janick Gets The Nod At Interscope

LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — John Janick has been named as President and Chief Operating Officer at Interscope Geffen A&M Records.

Janick joins the company after a sixteen-year stint running indie label Fueled By Ramen, where artists such as Fall Out Boy, fun., Paramore, and Panic! at the Disco scored their first hits.

Janick has relocated to Los Angeles for his new position, where he will be working at the Interscope Geffen A&M offices in Santa Monica.

Janick began his career when he co-founded Fueled By Ramen in his dorm room while an 18-year-old freshman at the University of Florida in Gainesville. Over the next few years, the small indie label grew even as Janick earned a B.A. in Finance and Business Management and then an M.B.A. at the University of South Florida.

In 2011, Atlantic Records tapped Janeck to help them to relaunch their Elektra label, with hits from Bruno Mars and Cee-Lo Green. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
