OSLO, Norway (VIP NEWS) — After 11 years as Head of Molde Jazz festival Jan Ole Otnæs has been appointed as new Managing Director of the National Jazzscene in Oslo in 2013.
He has extensive experience in the Norwegian jazz and music such as cultural manager in Bodø and holds a number of directorships. He was also involved in the creation of national jazz scene and has served on the Board and program board from the start.
Chairman of the National jazz scene, Magnar Bergo, is very pleased with the appointment of Jan Ole Otnæs.
– He was the best choice. He has in-depth knowledge of jazz, and he has built up a great international network. He can administrate and he can manage finances, so I see him as perfect for such a job, Bergo says.
Current CEO, Linda Skipnes Beach, is heading to a new position as head of Nordland Musikkfestuke in Bodø.
