Jack Utsick Presents To Promote At New Amphitheater

Plans are in place for the development of a 7,000-10,000-seat amphitheater in Collinsville, MO, near St Louis, with events to be promoted by Miami-based Jack Utsick Presents.

Funded by a private, out-of-state investor, projected costs for the development of the Mississippi River Festival Amphitheater is between $12 to $15 million. The Sonic Group of Edwardsville is the developer as well as the management and operation team. The city will be involved in appropriating money for the infrastructure costs of water, sewers, streets and lighting systems.

The venue, which will have 5,000 pavilion seats, aims to attract a wide spectrum of music including, pop, rock, jazz, blues and country, in addition to other events.

Groundbreaking and opening date are pending ordinance approval by city council members.
