Twelve pioneers of Kentucky music will be inducted into the Kentucky Music Hall of Fame & Museum February 28 – Loretta Lynn, Bill Monroe, Rosemary Clooney, the Everly Brothers, Clyde Julian “Red” Foley, John Lair, Tom Hall, Jean Ritchie, Merle Travis, Louis Marshall “Grandpa” Jones, Bradley Kincaid and The Osborne Brothers.The 16,600-foot museum is scheduled for a May opening.
Songwriters Hall of Fame Induction Set For June
Sting, Michael Jackson, Randy Newman, Barry Manilow and Nicholas Ashford & Valerie Simpson will be inducted into the National Academy of Popular Music/Songwriters Hall of Fame.
The 33rd annual induction ceremony will take place June 13 at the Sheraton New York Hotel & Towers. More honorees will be announced.
