MONTREAL (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Independant Canadian promoter Gillett Entertainment Group has a new moniker, evenko. The new name comes after the sale of the Club de hockey Canadien and Gillett Entertainment Group in December 2009 to the Molson brothers.

The new management of evenko is comprised of the following: Mr. Geoff Molson, Owner, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board; Mr. Pierre Boivin, President; and Mr. Jacques Aubé, Vice-President and General Manager. The company employs more than 40 people and produces more than 700 concerts a year.

evenko owns and operates the Bell Centre and promotes concerts at the Parc Jean-Drapeau as well as producing two festivals, annual Osheaga Music and Arts Festival and Heavy MTL. Osheaga debuted in 2006 and the lineup this year will feature Arcade Fire and Weezer and Heavy MTL returns for a second year with Avenged Sevenfold , Alexisisonfire and Slayer among the acts on its bill.

"Since the creation of Gillett Entertainment Group, our portfolio of shows and events have increased from 124 to 722 a year" states Jacques Aubé. "We will continue our progression with evenko as our experienced team continues to innovate and expand the horizons in order to present quality events which incite the publics' interest.
