Bruce Iglauer, president/founder of Chicago-based Alligator Records, has been named "Chicagoan Of The Year" by Chicago Magazine. Iglauer will receive the award in a ceremony to be held at Chicago's Four Seasons Hotel on January 16, 2002.
The annual award is given to eight "remarkable men and women whose achievements have made Chicago a better place…people who claim that they are only doing their jobs when in fact they are blazing a trail into the 21st century," according to the magazine.
A profile of Iglauer, along with the seven other recipients, can be found in the January 2002 issue. Iglauer was profiled on CelebrityAccess, August 17, 2001.
