House of Blues Entertainment, Inc has launched a company-wide promotion celebrating the Top 50 Live Albums of all time. The "Top 50" pays tribute to artists who've contributed the best live music recordings, as determined by House of Blues, as well as those artists touring today.
"Live music and summer are a natural fit and a great time to celebrate the contributions of those artists no longer performing as well as the current favorites performing in our venues," says Sarah Dekin, executive vice president, House of Blues Broadcast and Interactive Media.
The "Top 50" promotion was created by HOB to entertain and engage live music fans visiting one of its 29 venues or the www.hob.com website. The selections tap into the live music expertise of the House of Blues organization, which includes award-winning, veteran talent buyers Mike Krebs, Jim Mallonee, Kevin Morrow, Sonny Schneidau and Michael Yerke. More than 2,000 employees were asked to submit their 10 favorite live albums to a select committee, which then compiled the final "Top 50."
