Herb Alpert: Artist

Herb Alpert, in addition to being a trumpeter, is also an accomplished painter and sculptor. His one man exhibit, "Herb Alpert: Music For Your Eyes," is currently at the Tennessee State Museum in Nashville (Aug. 3-Sept. 30) and will go next to the Virginia Beach Pavilion/Virginia Beach Institute of Contemporary Art in Virginia Beach, Va., Dec. 15-Jan.15.

The travelling exhibit features 75 paintings and 40 bronze sculptures, many with names like Tango Nuevo, Fandango and Cha Cha Cha, evoking the freedom of jazz and the sheer exuberance of Latin dance.
