CLISSON, France (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Organizers for the French metal festival Hellfest are reportedly preparing to file a lawsuit against American metal band Korn's management company, The Firm in the wake of Korn's failure to perform at the festival.
The festival, which ran from June 23-25th had featured Korn as a headliner. Although there were reports of Korn's frontman Jonathan Davis being ill, Jon made a statement on the band's website:
"On behalf of Korn, I'd like to apologize to the French fans who came out to Hellfest and didn't get to see us play. Due to severe weather and a negligent promoter who didn't provide adequate cover for our gear, we were advised to cancel the show for risk of the band being electrocuted. The fans were short changed and that pisses us off. This was an especially important show for us given my illness last year which prevented me from performing. I am seriously bummed."
That's not the case if Hellfest organizer Benjamin Barbaud is to be believed. According to metal news source Blabbermouth.net Barbaud, speaking to French media said that all conditions for the band's safety had been met and that the band was played in full for the performance. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
