HEAR'SAY Seeks New Member

HEAR'SAY will hold auditions to find a replacement for KYM MARSH. It has been widely reported that Marsh became disillusioned being in Hear'say, and following a series of fights with fellow member Myleene Klass, decided to go it alone.

The remaining members have now issued a statement via their official website, www.hearsay.uk.com, playing down reports of a rift. The group also maintains she will be replaced, with an audition being held next week.

It reads: "Obviously over the last week to ten days there has been a lot of speculation about the current status and future of Hear'say. Understandably the press have been eager for us to make a statement about what is happening. In the meantime different predictions have been made. As you can imagine some very big decisions have had to be made on our part and a whole series of meetings have taken place.

"We can confirm that Kym has left the band. This was a decision made by Kym and delivered to us on the weekend. We were initially shocked although not entirely surprised. The reasons are not as reported, but because obviously her personal situations, and responsibilities have changed, and her commitment to her children come first. Kym has not been entirely happy and fulfilled with her position in the band, and so it was decided by her that it was best to move on to allow Hear'say to achieve its optimum.

"We have been faced with some choices and although as a four piece we feel more united, ambitious and stronger then ever we decided that to give Hear'say the best opportunity, and because we owe it to our fans that we should recruit a new member to give the band a new fresh look and line up. We also decided that it would be great to give someone the lucky break, which we were given a year ago.

"We will be holding an audition sometime in the next week. The details have not yet been finalized, but will be revealed in the press over the weekend.

"And finally we would like to wish Kym all the best with her future plans and a huge thank you to all our fans and supporters for sticking by us."

Hear'say have been together for a year. They were chosen from thousands of hopefuls who auditioned for the ITV television show 'Popstars'. Their first single, 'Pure & Simple', went straight to Number One, selling more than any other debut single ever released in the UK.
