Hawthorne Heights Guitarist Dies

WASHINGTON, DC (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Casey Calvert, the guitarist for Ohio-based punk outfit Hawthorne Heights has died at the age of 26.

Calvert died on the night of Nov. 23rd in Washington D.C., where the band had traveled to play at the 9:30 Club. The other members of the band reportedly found out about his death at the sound check for the show.

A message on the band's website stated "Today is probably the worst day ever … Casey Calvert passed away in his sleep last night … We’ve spent the entire day trying to come to grips with this and figure out as much as possible. At this time we’re not sure what exactly happened. Just last night he was joking around with everyone before he went to bed. We can say with absolute certainty that he was not doing anything illegal."

The details of his death are pending a medical examiner's report but the band has denied that he was doing anything illegal that may have contributed to his untimely demise. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
