Harvey Goldsmith Talks Zep

LONDON (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — The industry has been abuzz since the smash-hit Ahmet Ertegun tribute concert, held at AEG's O2 Dome in London earlier this month. The concert, which saw the first reunion of legendary rock band Led Zeppelin in nearly two decades was held to honor the memory of another legend, Ahmet Ertegun, a man who was instrumental in the early careers of many artists, Zep included.

Since then, there has been a lot of speculation and rumor about what the band's next move, if anything, will be. A recent conversation Harvey Goldsmith had with CelebrityAccess unfortunately, did little to dispel the uncertainty. "While we've had some very compelling offers, there are presently no plans to tour." Goldsmith told CelebrityAccess. Additionally, any tour plans that do materialize would be further complicated by Robert Plant's plans for an impending tour with bluegrass sensation Allison Krauss.

Tour plans aside, the concert was still a smash hit with both the fans and critics. But while the concert seemed to gel seamlessly, nothing happens in a vacuum, "There were challenges every five minutes to overcome." Goldsmith told CelebrityAccess "To put together a show with the a band of that stature as if they'd been touring together every year like the Stones isn't easy. On our end, we were essentially second-guessing what the band wanted, right up to the time of the show."

As for the venue itself, the O2 dome is still a fairly new venue but Goldsmith had nothing but positive things to say about the facility "The O2 Dome and its staff were great. Its really proven to be a favorite with both artists and fans."

"The response was overwhelming" Goldsmith added "It was the most in demand concert I've ever seen – maybe it ranks up with Live 8 as something that's caught the world's attention. There is still press on the show just about every day and now people are selling their ticket stubs – its going to reverberate for a long time." – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
