Hard Rock Biloxi Opens With Some Help From 3 Doors Down

BILOXI, Mississippi (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Biloxi, the Mississippi Gulf Coast's most anticipated destination resort in eight years, opened its doors on July 7, and marked the day with celebratory festivities. On July 5th, 3 Doors down kicked off the opening celebrations with an exclusive performance. The official grand opening featured a celebrity guitar smash followed by a performance from Kid Rock and after-party at Rande Gerber's new nightlife offering "Rise". The property, which was originally slated to open August 2005, has undergone a renovation and rebuild after Hurricane Katrina. The iconic 112-foot neon Peavey guitar, a traditional Hard Rock symbol which withstood the force of the Hurricane, still stands — now waiting to welcome guests.

Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Biloxi, located in the heart of the city, boasts 318 guest rooms and suites in the striking 12-story purple and white hotel tower that brings a new level of accommodations to the Mississippi Gulf Coast. All 26 suites feature incredible views overlooking the Gulf of Mexico or the always "happening" Hard Rock pool deck. Standard rooms are equipped with high- tech comforts and luxury amenities such as 42-inch plasma screen televisions, touch screen phones, Bose CD Music Systems, wireless Internet and other amenities.

"We have always known the Hard Rock Brand would be something truly unique," said President of Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Biloxi, Joe Billhimer. "Today, it's an even more special project and we are honored to finally show guests what we have built for them."

"The Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Biloxi is an important, strategic addition as we continue our global hotel and gaming portfolio," said Hamish Dodds, president and CEO, Hard Rock International. "The city and residents of Biloxi have persevered through the terrible tragedy of Hurricane Katrina and we are proud to welcome them and the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Biloxi to the Hard Rock family." – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
