GREENSBORO, NC (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Rapper Gucci Mane was forced to cancel a gig at the North Carolina A&T University but the reasons behind the cancellation are not entirely clear.
Promoters for the event hung his no-show on a recent legal snafu that prohibits Mane from traveling out of his home state while student activists on campus claim victory after they protested Mane's appearance based on his alleged ties to gangs and his violent lyrics.
This marks the second show that the performer's missed in recent weeks and he pulled out of an October 9 show at Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University (FAMU) behind legal woes.
Mane had been arrested in September after failing to complete a required number of community service hours resulting from a conviction in a 2005 assault, Fox News reported. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
