Grammy Vault Opens Via Vevo

NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — VEVO, The Recording Academy and CBS have announced the launch of "The Grammys" channel, making noteworthy footage from 52 years of Grammy performances and Grammy-related programming available for free, on-demand viewing across the VEVO Network within the U.S. This new channel marks the first time The Recording Academy has made these archival performances available to the public.

The announcement was made by Rio Caraeff (President and CEO, VEVO), Evan Greene (Chief Marketing Officer, The Recording Academy) and Joe Ferreira (Senior Vice President, Network Liaison, CBS Interactive).

"The Grammys" channel will give fans access to select footage from the Grammy Award telecasts and Nomination specials including performances, presentations, interviews and other memorable moments through its 52 year history across the VEVO Network. Beyonce, Lady Gaga, John Mayer, No Doubt, Katy Perry, Shakira and Sugarland are just a few of the artists featured on "The Grammys" channel. Additional content will be continually added into the channel.

"We are thrilled that The Recording Academy and CBS have embraced the VEVO Network as their partner to offer notable Grammy performances on-demand," said Caraeff. "Inspired by the way the Grammys have brought extraordinary musical moments to fans on television, VEVO was created to offer the highest quality music video experience online. The Grammys are Music's Biggest Night® and we are excited to bring these great performances out of the vaults and direct to our VEVO audience for the first time."

"'The Grammys' channel on the VEVO Network expands our efforts to offer fans a multi-platform program to our telecast campaign," said Greene. "We are pleased to partner with VEVO, the web's most-trafficked music network in the U.S., to offer fans a robust online Grammy experience."
