Gousse To Def Jam

LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Max Gousse has been tapped by Island Def Jam to serve as their new Senior Vice President of A&R. Gousse will work out of the L.A. office and report to IDJ's chairman L.A. Reid, Billboard reported.

Most recently, Gousse served as the Exec. VP A&R and New Business Development at Music World Entertainment and also spent time at Universal and Sony-BMG.

A veteran A&R man, Gousse has been credited on albums with global sales exceeding $25 million units. He has also produced the Golden Globe Award Winning "Dreamgirls" soundtrack, and supervised music production for global advertising campaigns for Armani "Diamonds" fragrance and L'Oreal's '"Infallible" lipstick.

Gousse A&R'd the #1 Mobile Ringtone and Digital Download of 2007: "Irreplaceable" performed by Beyonce and in the world of film, he was an executive producer on the film "You Got Served" for Sony Pictures ($72 MM gross) and the accompanying soundtrack. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
