Google Play Goes Live In Europe

LONDON (VIP-NEWS) – Google is rolling out its streaming music service, Google Play Music All Access, in Europe.

After its U.S. launch in May, it hit Australia and New Zealand in July. As of Thursday, the Internet giant started its European rollout in the U.K., Ireland, France, Italy, Span, Austria, Belgium, Luxembourg and Portugal, the Guardian reported.

It joins Spotify, Deezer, Rdio, Xbox Music, Sony's Music Unlimited and other players in the increasingly crowded U.K. market for streaming music services.

Unlike others, Google's subscription music offer has no free service though.

In the U.K., All Access will cost $15.54 (£9.99) per month, in line with prices charged by others. However, British users signing up before Sept. 15 will pay only $12.45 (£7.99) per month.

"With today's launch, Google Play moves one step closer to your ultimate digital entertainment destination, where you can find, enjoy and share your favorite apps, games, books, movies, magazines, TV shows and music on your Android phone or tablet," Paul Joyce, product manager for Google Play Music told the Guardian.
