BERLIN (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — German entertainment company DEAG has posted a tidy profit for the first half of 2007. A recent financial statement showed that sales were up by 35% to $57.1 million from the same period in the previous year.
DEAG's financial outlook was improved after a slow start this year by a number of highly-successful tours, including The Who and strong showings from their classical music offerings. Additionally, the divestiture of more than a 40% share of promoter Good News to the Ringier Publishing group, from whom they had acquired 90 percent interest in in 2000, bolstered the numbers. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
