Glasto 2010 Tickets To Go On-Sale

LONDON (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Tickets for next year's Glastonbury festival will go on-sale on October 4th, festival organizers said. The 2010 Glastonbury event will mark the 40th anniversary for the massive UK festival.

Following the success of last year's early bird and ticket deposit program, customers will have the option of paying a deposit of £50 to reserve a ticket, with the full balance due by the closing date of February 28 2010. Ticket hopefuls will need to register 48 hours ahead of the on-sale date to be eligible.

Tickets to next year's festival will cost a little more and this time around will set you back £185 (plus a £5 booking fee) for a full weekend pass.

As for the lineup, details have yet to be released, but festival organizer Michael Eavis hinted to the British press that the lineup will include a band culled from each year of the festival's past.

"Now I'm fully confident the anniversary lineup will be just that little bit special when it is revealed next year. We want as many people as possible to be part of the celebrations and to enjoy what we do here." Eavis told the Guardian.

Eavis, now 74, also indicated that he's currently got no plans of retiring any time soon.

"I've got no interest in retirement – one day I'll have no choice, presumably, but while I can choose I've got no interest in retirement, it's a labour of love." Eavis told the Press Association. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
