GOUDRON, France (CelebrityAccess) — Barbara Weldens, an up-and-coming French singer, died of an apparent on-stage electrocution.
According to the BBC, she had been performing at a church in the town of Goudron as part of the Festival Léo Ferré when she collapsed mid-song on stage.
Investigators were looking at electrical equipment on the stage to determine what caused the apparent electrical fault, the BBC said.
Weldens, 35, was in the middle of a tour at the time of her passing. She had released her debut album "Le Grand H de L’Homme" last year to critical acclaim, winning several awards for the work.
