The satirical comedy quintet Firesign Theatre is taping its "Weirdly Cool" concert at CBS Television City Aug. 24 for a PBS-TV showing starting in November. The foursome will also have a new album Bride of Firesign out on Rhino Sept. 4.
Additionally, Firesign Theatre has signed with new management (Julie Lokin, New Audiences) and agency (Steve Levine, ICM). A tour of performing arts centers is being lined up for fall 2002.
