Fall Out Boy Falls Out

LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Fall Out Boy frontman Patrick Stump has confirmed rumors that the band is done..for now. The revelation came when Stump told Spin Magazine: "I'm not in Fall Out Boy right now. But one way or another, the band will always be around. Steven Tyler isn't in Aerosmith anymore, but his gravestone will probably say something about Aerosmith.

"Whether we play again or not, I don't know. If we do, it will be for the right reasons. If we don't, it will also be for the right reasons." Stump added.

Following on the heels on Stump's comments, the band's drummer Andy Hurley tweeted: "I quit too." Guitarist Joe Trohman, perhaps not wanting to be left out, noted on his own twitter page that he too, had quit.

"I just did interviews with Span Magazine, Rabbling Stone and Blunder about how much quitting I done [sic]." Trohman wrote.

The wave of quitting was sparked by comments by band mamber Pete Wentz who, earlier this week said that he "can't imagine" playing with the band again.

"As a band we grew apart. Letting go of this giant part of my life has been hard." Wentz wrote on his blog.

The band had been on "hiatus" since November with their last performance in Auckland in February 2009. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
