Eduardo Cajina Díaz To Lead The Operations Of The SMG-Operated Coliseo De Puerto Rico

SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico (CelebrityAccess) — Beginning March 15, Eduardo Cajina Díaz will take over as the new General Manager of the Coliseo de Puerto Rico in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

“I look forward to returning home to the Coliseo, where my professional career in the entertainment industry began in 2004.” said Cajina. “I am deeply honored and humbled to lead such a professional operation for the world’s leading venue management company, SMG.”

Eduardo started with SMG in 2004 as the Assistant Box Office Manager at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico and through hard work, served as Event Manager, Director of Event Services before leading the SMG team as Humacao Arena and Performing Arts Center’s General Manager in 2013.

“Eduardo has a proven track record of event management with experience on both the venue and production side.” said SMG Vice President of Operations, Michael Godoy. “The Coliseo is a world class venue ranking in the top 40 world wide over the last five years. The SMG systems and procedures implemented by the Coliseo staff have created a brand that the people of Puerto Rico have embraced and expect from the Coliseo. Eduardo is perfectly positioned to take this operation to the next level.”

In his new position, the Bayamón native will to continue to ensure a great experience for the audiences, performers, sports teams and event organizers who enjoy the Coliseo.

Prior to joining SMG, Cajina was the Operations Manager at Guaynabo’s American Signs Company in his native Puerto Rico. He also worked as Box Office Manager in Casatron Inc. Cajina has a bachelor’s degree in Business Administrations and a Major in Marketing from the University of Puerto Rico.
