EAT'M Takes Shape

This year's EAT'M conference (Emerging Artists & Technology in Music) is set for May 29-31 in Las Vegas at the MGM Grand Hotel.

Among the confab's highlights is "Industry Perspectives," a series of 30-minute sessions scheduled throughout the three days that includes a 15-minute presentation by leading industry executives, followed by 15-minutes of Q&A's. The lineup includes Miles Copeland (ARK21 Records), Mick Fleetwood (founder/drummer, Fleetwood Mac), Jay Samitt (EMI Recorded Music), Gregg Latterman(Aware Records), former Ticketmaster CEO Fred Rosen (Key3 Media) and Alan Light (SPIN Magazine).

Fleetwood, along with multi-Academy Award-winning composer
Elmer Bernstein, will receive the EAT'M Lifetime
Achievement Award.

Among the key panel participants are Kevin Lyman (Warped Tour creator); Andy Somers (Bandwagon); John Reese (Freeze Management); Liz Heller (Buzztone CEO); Michele
Bernstein (William Morris Agency); Rod Essig (CAA Nashville); and Ted Cohen (EMI Recorded Music).

Throughout the conference will be artist showcases on multiple stages at
the MGM Grand, "New York, New York'"s Empire Bar and Brooklyn Bridge, and three stages at the House of Blues and
the Hard Rock Cafe, with more locales to be added. Additionally, the John Lennon Songwriting Bus will have a stage customized for singer/songwriter performances as well as their on
board state-of-the-art recording studio.

In addition to mentoring sessions, new this year is Marathon Demo Critiquing and opportunity for singer/songwriters registered for EAT'M to
perform impromptu sessions in-between morning and afternoon panels in
high-traffic locations on the same floor as the session panels.
