Done Deal – Live Nation Acquires Signature Networks

LOS ANGELES, CA (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Michael Cohl, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Live Nation Artists, a division of Live Nation, announced today that the company has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire merch-maker Signatures Network, Inc.

Signatures Network holds the rights to market and license more than 150 major music artists in all genres, including The Beatles, U2, Bruce Springsteen, Barbra Streisand, Justin Timberlake, Ozzy Osbourne, Billy Joel, The Grateful Dead, KISS, Jennifer Lopez, The Doors and many others. Signature also has print-on-demand and custom merchandise capabilities.

Signature Network's CEO Dell Furano will join Live Nation where he will head up their merchandising division.

When added to Live Nation's recent acquisition of merch outfit Trunk, this would appear to give the promoter a powerful beachhead in artists merchandise and provide a significant source of revenue for the firm.
