DMB Plots Summer Tour


LOS ANGELES (AP) — The Dave Matthews Band is set to hit the road with a major North American summer tour in support of their 2009 album "Big Whiskey."

Described as DMB's most "electric" album to date, "Big Whiskey" has already been certified platinum and picked up two Grammy noms for Album of the Year and Best Rock Album. The band is set to perform at the Grammy awards ceremony on January 31st as well.

Produced by Live Nation, the 48-date tour is set to kick off on May 28 with two shows at the Comcast Theatre in Hartford, CT before winding down at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul on September 15th. The tour will see support from a variety of artists at different gigs, including Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings, The Felice Brothers, Yonder Mountain String Band, Robert Earl Keen, Zac Brown Band, Martin Sexton, Black Joe Lewis & The Honeybears, Gov't Mule, & Raphael Saadiq.

DMB will also take a warm-up spin through Europe in February, starting with a Hamburg, Germany on Feb. 16th
