Dixie Chicks' Home Is A Record Breaker

The Dixie Chicks new album, "Home," from Open Wide/Monument/Columbia
Records Group, has debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200 and the Billboard
Country Albums charts with the highest first full week's sales–779,828–of any
female group in the SoundScan era.
"Home" has achieved the highest first week's sales, in the SoundScan era, of any
album in Columbia Records history.

"Home" has also set the record for the highest first week's sales for any

female country artist and any country group, breaking the Dixie Chick's
previous held title in both categories. When the group's previous album, "Fly,"
debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200 in September 1999 with first week's sales
of 341,138 copies, the Dixie Chicks became the first, and only, country group
to debut at #1 on that chart.

With "Home," the Dixie Chicks become the only country group and the only
female country group to have two #1 debuts on the Billboard 200.
