DHP Family Raises More Than £100,000 For The Homeless With The Beat The Street Festival

NOTTINGHAM, UK (CelebrityAccess) — Organizers for Beat the Streets – an all-day music festival staged to help the homeless raised over £100,000 and will become an annual event.

Staged by the UK-based promoter DHP Family, the festival took place across venues in Nottingham last Sunday, with a lineup that included Sleaford Mods, Ferocious Dog, The Invisible Orchestra, Lawnmower Deth, Rolo Tomassi, Kagoule and Eyre Llew.

The money raised came from a combination of ticket sales, donations, food and beverage sales, merch, donations and collection buckets. Many of the performers also donated.

The money raised from Beat the Streets will go to Framework, the charity dedicated to improving the lives of homeless people.

A breakdown of the donation proceeds via DHP Family:

£46,000: ticket sales and bar proceeds
£16,000: fundraising activities (Hey! Hey! Hey!
Clubnight, guestlist donations, Beat The Streets badge sales)
£3,000: donated by beer suppliers
£30,000: donated by DHP Family

Organizers of Beat The Streets Festival have confirmed the festival will become an annual event with the next Beat the Streets scheduled for Sunday 27 January 2019.
