DEAG Acquires Major Stake In handwerker Promotions

BERLIN (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — German promoter DEAG has acquired controlling stake in Unna-based handwerker Promoter, one of the top promoters in the North Rhine-Westphalia region of Germany.

The founder of handwerker promotion, 56-year-old Fred Handwerker, will continue to work for the company on a long-term basis and continue to develop the company under the DEAG banner. handwerker has been a presence in th market for 20 years with connections to major arenas and open-air performance venues in the region.

The deal provides DEAG with a stronger presence in the region, which boasts a population of about 18 million people and includes markets such as Cologne, Münster, Essen, Duisburg, Bochum and Mönchengladbach, the promoter said.
